U is for Under the Ground... and other preschool activiites

Just sorting letter beads.

We cut some money for our play store, working on our cutting skills and staying on the lines.

We worked on our phonics skills with our ABC boxes. 

This activity helps us develop our small muscle skills as well as our letter recognition skills.
It must also help us develop our hugging skills.  

We learned about plants that grow under the ground and dug some of them up!  

This is one of the only pictures I got of our under the ground acitivities.  We also learned about animals that live under the ground and did a an acitivity with those animals where we put them in their home under the ground.

X is for X-rays at the Dentist!

We practiced brushing giant teeth with toothbrushes and toothpaste. 

 It was a little snowy, when we walked to the dentist for our field trip, but we enjoyed the fresh air.

Dr. Hanson did such a great job for our Preschool Field Trip!

We took x-rays and learned how to spot broken bones.

Easter Activities

All the kids have loved doing our Star of the Week presentations!  Thank you to all of you for helping your child make their poster and for sharing their favorite story with the class!

One of our favorite additions to our classroom is our puppet show/ dramatic play stand. We have loved playing store, ice cream shop, restaurant, and doing puppet shows etc. on it.  

We made some great bird nests for Easter!

We completed our nests with jelly beans and birds.  In the background, we used our classroom pillows to make a giant nest to sit in during circle time and story time.

We sorted our jelly beans by color.

We graphed our jelly beans by color, and we also made some patterns.

We painted with jelly beans.  We put the jelly beans in water and soaked them for awhile.

It was

Egg Science Experiment.  We learned that we can stand on eggs and they won't break!  They are strong in the case together.  But if we step on just one egg, it will break!
(I think it's hilarious that one of the preschoolers is up on the easel in the background.  What a little monkey!  I wonder if her mom saw her, because she was there with us!)
