O- Oceans

Making our ocean wave bottles. We learned about the reaction between oil and water.  Oil is less dense so it floats to the top of the water.

We love having our turn for show and tell.

Sink and float experiment.  We made our own foil boats and discovered how many pennies our boats could hold before sinking.

We painted giant murals of the ocean.  The kids love to be messy; and you parents should love me for letting them be messy.  You don't have to clean up the mess.  ;)

We made volcanoes with vinegar and baking soda!  We learned about the reaction between the two substances and that they create a gas.  We learned that volcanoes often form islands in the middle of the ocean, like Hawaii.

One of our new favorite books.  The kids love it and laugh so hard!  If you get a chance to read it, I think you'll enjoy it!

X- X-rays

Here are just some of the things we did to learn the letter X.
Doctor  and dentist dramatic play.  We pretended to use x-ray machines for teeth and bones.

x- ray puzzles.  We learned how the human body bones fit together. We learned some of the bone names.

We dug for bones and letters.

 x-ray art

Helping clean up sand spills.  :)

We played with blocks too, building dentist and doctor offices.  :)

Field trip to the Dentist office!  He gave us some tips on how to help our teeth stay healthy and he showed us how all his dentist tools and x-ray machine work.
