We played Red Light, Green Light. The kids used paper steering wheels with Letter G words on them like "go" "green" "gum". They had fun listening for the Green Light command when they would come runing toward the finish line. We also played Giant Steps Game, where the kids obeyed the command to take different types of steps like giant steps, baby steps, backward steps etc.
We learned the letter G by writing it in our workbooks and we also traced the letter G on these goo (hair gel) filled bags.
We are learning the letter G sound too. We separated pictures that start with letter G from the pictures of items that didn't start with letter G.
We played with different types of goo like Play Dough and corn starch mixed with water. The kids enjoyed feeling the different textures of goo. We learned that corn starch and water harden when you touch them and then they soften when they left alone.
We practiced measuring and scooping to see what how many half cups fit inside a whole cup.
We played the guitar a little and shared our letter G items for show and tell.
We made goo with glue, water and borax. It was a very cool science experiment to see who the substances interacted.
We practiced our number writing skills by working with calculators. We wrote the numbers on graphs and practiced counting the pom poms. We also guessed how many pom poms might be in each container.
We cut out letter G pictures and glued them onto our Letter G papers.
We glued gumballs onto our gumball machines. We counted them and named the colors.
Looking at Gorilla books. We learned some interesting new facts about Gorillas. Their skeletons look a lot like our skeletons, they often walk on their hands, their baby's hold onto the mommies for rides, they communicate with their facial expressions the way we do.
We played a gooey spaghetti race game where we split into teams and raced to see which team could fill up their bowl with gooey spaghetti first.
